The 24th Annual Conference:

Explore the meanings and mysteries of dreams and nightmares with world famous authors,
psychotherapists, psychoanalysts, artists, educators and researchers in the field of Dream Studies.
Take advantage of the daily social events, join in group lunches, purchase author-signed books,
and chat informally with your favorite dream experts. Over 200 workshops and events on all aspects
of dreaming are planned, with topics and events of interest to the general public as well as
professionals.
Seven pre-conference training sessions on clinical supervision, dreamwork skills, research, and
lucid dreaming are offered Friday 29 June on the opening day of the conference. Special events
include: a Friday evening keynote address and opening reception; daily evening receptions; a Dream
Arts Exhibition in the University Library Art Gallery; a Dream Telepathy Contest Sunday evening;
a special-event Wine Tasting at the Lake on Monday afternoon; and on Tuesday evening the ever
popular closing costume Dream Ball.
Among the many topics this year are: clinical use of dreams in various schools of psychotherapy,
research on the biology and psychology of dreams, cross-cultural approaches, nightmares, dreams in
education, child development, the humanities and expressive arts, PSI dreams, spiritual, and
ecological approaches to dreaming.
PRESENTER HIGHLIGHTS:
•The conference features Virginia Beane Rutter, M.S (of the
C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco ) as our keynote as well as many other well-known authors,
researchers and experts in the field of dreams and dreamwork including: Deirdre Barrett PhD
(author of The Committee of Sleep); Kelly Bulkeley PhD (author of Dreaming Beyond Death);
Gayle Delaney PhD (author of In Your Dreams); Jean Campbell (author of Group Dreaming: Dreams
to the Tenth Power); Layne Dalfen (author of Dreams Do Come True); G. William Domhoff PhD
(author of The Scientific Study of Dreams ); Marcia Emery PhD (author of Power Hunch); Patricia

VENUE:
• The conference will be held on the campus of Sonoma State University, north of San
Francisco, California, in beautiful wine country. There ia also an option for an
extended day post-conference to enjoy Sonoma County attractions. Driving distance is 40 miles
from San Francisco and a bus service is available from the Oakland and San Francisco Airports,
which drops passengers off at the Doubletree Hotel, where local cabs or shuttle can take
you to the campus.
PRE-CONFERENCE SESSIONS NEW THIS YEAR:
• If you would like intensive training in skills or
knowledge related to dreams, we are offering morning and afternoon pre-conference workshops
on Friday June 29, before the conference begins. If you have already registered for the main
conference you may return to the registration site to add pre-conference sign-ups and fees.

Through Lucid Dreaming, Beverly D’Urso PhD; Ed Kellogg PhD; Robert Waggoner; Dream Interviewing:
Minimizing Interpreter Bias in Dream Interpretation, Gayle Delaney PhD; Comprehending Dreams:
Clinical Supervision for Therapists, Neil Russack MD; Finding Dream Meaning Via Content Analysis,
G. William Domhoff PhD; Adam Schneider; Robert Van de Castle PhD; The Practice of Lucid Dreaming:
Three Approaches, Fariba Bogzaran PhD; Kenneth Kelzer, LCSW; and Scott Sparrow EdD, MFT
EARN CE CREDITS (Continuing Education) for selected sessions. The provider of the CE credits
is the IASD Dream Studies Continuing Education program. Earn up to 25 credits during the main
conference for selected events including 4 ETHICS credits to meet license requirements. Earn
up to 7 additional CE credits including 7 CLINICAL SUPERVISION credits. IASD is a CE provider
for the California BBSE. IASD is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor
continuing education for psychologists. IASD maintains responsibility for this program and its

EARN 2 UNITS ACADEMIC CREDIT through Sonoma StateUniversity for attending the conference.
These are upper-division Psychology credits transferable to most colleges and universities.
